Robert Phillips, Founder & President
Robert brings a unique and fresh perspective to the operations and leadership of this successful, national student housing company. Robert is responsible for directing all aspects of the PHILLIPS Management operating platform, including oversight of all support departments, corporate finance, and strategic planning. With a background in Real Estate Management, Marketing, Brand Management and Creative, Robert has expertise in creating a solid, corporate identity, recognizable on all platforms. This paired with a heavy focus on employee training and streamlined operations, has not only proven successful, but integral to keeping a strong resident base and leading an efficient and effective team, across the country.
Robert started his career in Washington, D.C. working on Class A, luxury, high-rise, lease-up properties, learning to handle high occupancy demands and heavy traffic from potential residents. He was able to mold and fit this same model into the student housing industry. Understanding that the student demographic is ever changing and growing in complexity, he strategically and successfully has brought the world of superior customer service into the student realm.
Phillips, community service-minded, provides pro bono services, dedicated to successfully branding, marketing and managing small businesses and non-profits with limited resources.
Robert graduated from Virginia Tech, summa cum laude, with a B.S. in Business Management and Marketing, with a focus in residential property management. He also studied international finance, management and marketing in Switzerland.
